I still remember the first email from Alyssa and Tommy. Before even officially confirming their wedding date at Château Vaudreuil, they wanted to check my availability. As a wedding photographer, it’s always meaningful to receive an inquiry from a couple who already feels that you might be the right photographer for them. We immediately connected, and our personalities felt perfectly aligned.
In their early thirties, Alyssa and Tommy have been together for many years. They met in 2014 while studying in college and have been inseparable ever since. Passionate about sports, good food and travel, they share many interests. From our very first conversations, I had the feeling that their wedding would reflect who they are: thoughtful, refined and deeply meaningful.
Alyssa and Tommy wanted to embrace the full photography experience. Before their wedding at Château Vaudreuil, they chose to have an engagement session. This moment allowed us to build a genuine connection while helping them arrive on their wedding day feeling completely at ease. After the celebration, they also chose a custom-designed heirloom album to preserve their memories for years to come.
Choosing a renowned venue like Château Vaudreuil for their wedding celebration, I knew Alyssa and Tommy would prioritize the experience itself, a sense of understated elegance and great attention to detail. From the moment you step into the lobby of this prestigious hotel, the quality is immediately felt: from the warm welcome of the staff to the refined materials and furnishings throughout the space. Nothing is left to chance and that attention to detail can be felt in every corner of the venue.
Here is a look back at this beautiful wedding day on October 4th, 2025, celebrating the union of two people whose story was already deeply rooted.
Getting Ready at Château Vaudreuil
Alyssa and Tommy’s wedding day began in the soft and elegant atmosphere of Château Vaudreuil — the perfect setting to ease into such a meaningful day. The mood was calm and serene, both in the bride’s suite and in the groom’s suite. As I expected, everyone was ready when I arrived (Alyssa and Tommy are wonderfully organized people).

The Ceremony at Sainte-Cécile Basilica-Cathedral
After getting ready at Château Vaudreuil, Alyssa and Tommy made their way to Sainte-Cécile Basilica-Cathedral to celebrate their ceremony surrounded by their loved ones. It was my first time photographing a ceremony in this beautiful cathedral, and I was truly struck by its majestic architecture.
Even from the outside, the building is impressive. But once inside, you naturally feel compelled to pause for a moment, simply to take in the incredible details of the space.
Alyssa and Tommy’s Entrance
One after the other, Alyssa and Tommy made their entrance into the cathedral. It is always a highly anticipated moment for the guests, who are both joyful to be present and excited to witness the couple on one of the most meaningful days of their lives.
Alyssa’s mother was especially emotional as she accompanied her daughter down the aisle.
The ceremony was officiated by Father Normand Bergeron, a particularly kind and welcoming man. I introduced myself to him as soon as I arrived at the cathedral, before the ceremony began. I always take the time to introduce myself when I arrive. It’s first and foremost a sign of respect, but it also allows me to confirm if there are any restrictions to keep in mind.
As Alyssa is of Filipino origin, the couple chose to incorporate a few traditions into their ceremony, including the veil, the cord and the coins.
They then exchanged their vows and wedding rings. It was a ceremony that truly reflected who they are: gentle, meaningful and filled with emotion.

Back at Château Vaudreuil for the Celebration
After the ceremony, we returned to Château Vaudreuil to capture Alyssa and Tommy’s couple portraits before continuing with the reception. In this refined setting, they were able to take a quiet moment for themselves, away from the excitement of the day, simply to be present and enjoy the moment together.

We began Alyssa and Tommy’s couple portraits in the gardens of Château Vaudreuil to take advantage of the golden hour. The gardens offer a beautiful setting for romantic Château Vaudreuil wedding photos, especially as the light begins to soften at the end of the day. Afterwards, we made our way to the dock to capture the soft, enveloping light that autumn so beautifully offers.
When I create a photography timeline with my couples, these are exactly the kinds of details I think about. Light is always my guide, and I accompany you every step of the way so you can truly make the most of your wedding images.
The sky was perfectly clear, with the moon shining above the couple.
This image brings together many of the elements I love. The light, of course (I talk about it all the time), soft and enveloping, along with the pastel colors of the sky. The bride who has slipped off her shoes, the calm water of the bay, the gentle movement of the couple and the vastness surrounding them. There is a quiet sense of peace in this moment, almost like a pause in the middle of a day that was otherwise full and vibrant.
This photograph brings me right back to that exact moment, and that is what I strive to create at every wedding I photograph. Images that, ten years from now, will bring the couple back to these small moments and surface the details that time may have gently softened in their memory.
The Reception and Evening Celebration at Château Vaudreuil
As night fell, the celebrations continued inside Château Vaudreuil in the Félix-Leclerc ballroom. The evening was filled with laughter, dancing, heartfelt speeches and joyful moments shared together. It truly felt like a beautiful gathering of the people who matter most.
Before sharing more moments from the celebration, here are a few images of the reception space. It was simply too beautiful, warm, elegant and thoughtfully designed, not to show you a glimpse of it. To me, it felt like the perfect balance.
After the delicious and generous dinner, Alyssa swapped her fitted gown and heels for a short dress and sneakers, the perfect outfit to fully enjoy the rest of the evening. Before the wedding, she had made a special request: to capture a few images in the lobby of Château Vaudreuil in a “Hollywood-style” atmosphere, as she had described it to me.
So we took a few minutes to create these images in this elegant and timeless setting, which perfectly suited the mood she had envisioned. The moment felt spontaneous, light and fun, just like their energy at the end of the evening.
Every wedding is unique, but some leave you with that little indescribable feeling — and that is exactly what I experienced with Alyssa and Tommy’s wedding.
