It was on a beautiful September day that Laury and Samuel celebrated their Ripplecove Hotel & Spa wedding, surrounded by their family and friends. Wanting to create an unforgettable experience for themselves and their guests, they chose this exceptional venue to celebrate their union.
I love working with couples who place the experience at the heart of every aspect of their wedding day. This often begins with thoughtfully choosing experienced vendors who truly listen to their needs and vision.
I know Ripplecove Hotel & Spa very well, as I’ve had the joy of photographing several weddings at this beautiful lakeside venue over the years. I’m also often referred by the venue, which is a meaningful vote of confidence coming from such a prestigious location. Nestled along the shores of Lake Massawippi in Ayer’s Cliff, in the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec, Ripplecove is a stunning destination for lovers dreaming of an elegant lakeside wedding.
But let’s come back to our couple. Laury and Samuel are vibrant, dynamic people who, despite being in their mid-twenties, have already been together for many years. Their connection is unmistakable and their sensitivity runs deep. As a wedding photographer, this is exactly the kind of couple I love working with: people who value family, meaningful relationships, genuine connection, quality, and the overall experience: all while remaining wonderfully down-to-earth. Being their wedding photographer at Ripplecove Hotel & Spa was truly a privilege.
An English Garden–Inspired Wedding at Ripplecove Hotel & Spa
From our very first meeting, Laury shared with me her inspirations and her vision for their wedding day. (Of course, Samuel was very much involved in the process as well, but let’s be honest: it’s often the bride who first brings the visual inspiration for the wedding 😉.)
The choice of colors, florals and reception venue naturally guided their decisions, leading to an elegant and emotional English garden–inspired wedding in the beautiful Eastern Townships.
I’m therefore delighted to share a few images from this Ripplecove Hotel & Spa wedding, where refined details blended beautifully with the heartfelt emotions experienced throughout the day.

The Couple’s First Look at Ripplecove Hotel & Spa… and the Wedding Party’s Reaction
Wanting to make the most of every moment of their wedding day, Laury and Samuel chose to have a first look before their Ripplecove Hotel & Spa wedding ceremony. This decision allowed them to free up time during cocktail hour and fully enjoy that part of the celebration with their guests.
Their first look took place on the beautiful terrace of Ripplecove Hotel & Spa, overlooking Lake Massawippi in the Eastern Townships. In fact, there wasn’t just one first look: there were two. Neither the bridesmaids nor the groomsmen had seen Laury in her dress before the big day, and the bride wanted to share this special moment with them in a meaningful way, creating an atmosphere that was both intimate and filled with emotion.

The Wedding Party’s First Look
The terrace at Ripplecove offers a bright and intimate setting, making it the perfect place for an emotional first look surrounded by the people who matter most.
A special mention goes to the bridesmaids’ dresses and the florals, whose beautifully chosen colors perfectly reflected the English garden inspiration envisioned by the couple.

A few portraits before the ceremony
One of the things I particularly appreciate about Ripplecove Hotel & Spa as a wedding venue is that no matter the weather on the wedding day, it offers beautiful photo opportunities both indoors and outdoors. That’s something not every venue can offer.
We therefore took some time to create a few portraits before the ceremony, intentionally saving the rest of the couple’s photos for after the wedding ceremony.

The wedding ceremony at Ripplecove Hotel & Spa
The September weather was perfect for their outdoor wedding ceremony by the water. The view over Lake Massawippi was simply stunning.
Laury and Samuel were incredibly touching and authentic in their vows, bringing heartfelt emotion to all of their guests.
